Sound familiar?

The problems this solves

Stock rejected at the fulfilment centre

A mislabelled carton or an unscannable FNSKU means stranded inventory, chargebacks and days of lost sales while you untangle it with Seller Support.

Prep fees that erase your margin

Flat per-unit prep rates punish sellers who ship in volume. If you send 2,500 units and pay the same rate as someone sending 50, you are subsidising them.

No idea what state your stock is in

Most prep centres go quiet between goods-in and shipment. If units arrive damaged from your supplier, you find out when Amazon does.

How Oakmont handles it

What actually happens

  1. 1

    Announce your inbound

Tell us what is coming in the portal — SKUs, quantities and supplier — by form or CSV upload, so goods-in knows exactly what to expect.

  2. 2

    We receive and inspect

Every carton is counted and every unit checked against your listing. Discrepancies and damage are photographed and flagged to you the same day.

  3. 3

    We prep to Amazon's requirements

Poly bagging, suffocation warnings and FNSKU labelling are included in the per-unit rate. Expiry labelling and bundling are available as priced add-ons.

  4. 4

    We forward into Amazon

Cartons are packed, labelled with your shipment IDs and handed to the carrier. Your portal shows what shipped, when, and on which shipment.

Questions

Asked before, answered here

How much does FBA prep cost in the UK?

Our FBA prep is priced per unit on a volume ladder: £0.50 for 1–199 units, £0.42 for 200–499, £0.36 for 500–999, £0.30 for 1,000–2,499 and £0.26 at 2,500+. Every rate includes inspection, a poly bag and an FNSKU label — they are not extras. All pricing, including exception fees, is published on our rate card.

What does your FBA prep service include?

Each unit is inspected against your listing, poly bagged with a suffocation warning where required, and FNSKU-labelled over the manufacturer barcode. Carton labelling for your Amazon shipment is part of the job. Add-ons such as bundling, bubble wrap, fragile pack and expiry labelling are priced separately and published.

Can you receive stock directly from my supplier or a container?

Yes. Give your supplier or freight forwarder our address and announce the inbound in the portal. We also devan containers on site — £250 for a 20ft and £375 for a 40ft — so sea freight can come straight to us without a separate unloading stop.

How quickly will my stock be prepped and sent to Amazon?

We work to a 24-hour prep turnaround target from goods-in to prep complete. Forwarding into Amazon then depends on your shipment plan and carrier collection. The portal shows each stage, so you are never guessing where a batch sits.

Do I pay storage while stock waits to go into Amazon?

Your first 30 days of storage are free on FBA-prep inbound stock, which covers the normal gap between goods-in and an Amazon shipment slot. After that, storage is £3.25 per pallet per week, £0.90 per shelf bin per week or £1.55 per cubic metre per week.
