Who we are
Oakmont 3PL Ltd, trading as Oakmont Logistics ("we", "us"), is the data controller for personal data collected through this website, and a data processor for order data our clients pass to us to fulfil their customers' orders.
What we collect and why
- Enquiry data — name, business name, email and message contents when you use our contact or quote forms. Used to respond to you. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Client account data — contact details, login email and portal activity for client users. Used to operate your account. Legal basis: contract.
- End-customer order data — names and delivery addresses supplied by our clients so we can dispatch orders. We process this only on our clients' instructions, retain it no longer than operationally required, and never use it for marketing.
What we don't do
We don't sell personal data, we don't buy marketing lists, and we don't send marketing emails to people who haven't asked for them.
Sharing
Order data is shared with carriers to the extent needed to deliver parcels. Website and portal infrastructure is provided by hosting and authentication providers acting as our processors under contract.
Retention
Enquiries are kept for up to two years. Client account and billing records are kept for six years to meet UK tax obligations. End-customer order data is kept only as long as operationally necessary.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
See our cookie policy. In short: we use only the cookies required to run the site and keep portal users signed in.
