What is the cheapest way to prep books for FBA in the UK?
Volume is the lever. Our ladder runs £0.50 per unit at 1–199 down to £0.30 at 1,000–2,499 and £0.26 at 2,500+, with inspection, poly bag and FNSKU label included rather than itemised on top. For sellers moving media in the thousands, the difference between a flat rate and a real ladder is the margin.
Is a 3PL viable for low-priced books and media?
It comes down to per-unit arithmetic, which is why all our numbers are published. At £0.26–£0.30 per unit prepped at volume, £3.25 per pallet per week of storage and no minimums or setup fee, the fixed overhead is a £29 monthly account fee with the first month free. Run those numbers against your average sale price — that is the honest test.
Do you check book condition at goods-in?
Every unit is inspected as part of prep, and stock arriving bumped, creased or water-marked is photographed and flagged through the portal's discrepancy alerts. That lets you claim against the supplier or courier and keeps damaged copies out of 'new' listings, where a condition complaint costs both the refund and the feedback.
Can you handle sets and bundle listings for media?
Yes. Box sets, series bundles and multi-disc lots are assembled at £0.25 per extra unit and listed as a single pickable SKU. Bundling slow single volumes into sets is one of the few ways to lift margin on media without touching price, and it costs pence per unit to build.
Can you fulfil single book orders from my own website or eBay?
Yes — DTC fulfilment is £0.95 per order plus £0.25 per extra unit, with a standard mailer included, dispatched same day before the 2pm cut-off. The same stock pool serves Amazon, eBay and your own site, with one live inventory view, so a copy sold anywhere comes off the same count.
